Your guide to selling

It can be difficult to know what photos buyers want to see when listing your bike, here at Bike Bidder we have tried to make it as simple as possible by creating a guide to help showcase your bike in the best way possible.

Below is a quick and easy visual guide on how we suggest you photo your bike and also what dealers would like to see to reassure them in placing their highest bids.

Along with these photos we also suggest taking pictures of all the keys and service book documents.

These are the photos we'll need to create your bike profile

  • #1 Right Side

  • #2 Right Front

  • #3 Right Back

  • #4 Left Side

  • #5 Left Front

  • #6 Left Back

  • #7 Front Tyre

  • #8 Rear Tyre

  • #9 Chain and Sprocket

  • #12 Seat

Six top tips!

  1. Try to take a the photos of your bike on a sunny dry day against a light back drop or on your driveway. This way there will be little background interference causing distractions from your bike.
  2. When taking the photos try to get as close as possible while still clearly being able to see what part of the bike it is. Don’t get so close that you can’t tell what side we are looking at!
  3. Clean the bike! A clean bike is a far more attractive bike and so more likely to achieve a higher price.
  4. Don’t be afraid to photo any damage, chips or scratches. It is best to take honest photos as our dealers will be bidding on your bike without seeing it in person.
  5. Understand your bikes value - As much as we all love our pride and joy and want to think it is the best out there, unfortunately the value of your bike is determined by the market. Age, condition, service history and mileage also play a big part.
  6. Decide what is important to you. If you have all the time in the world and would rather hold out for the highest price possible then we would suggest listing your bike on Autotrader or Ebay. You will also have to deal with time wasters and private buyers coming to your house so bare that in mind.

If speed, convenience and a free listing is important to you then Bike Bidder takes away all the stress and hassle by finding you the dealer who will pay you the most most. Sales happen every week and payment is usually instant!

It's that simple! Ready to sell your bike?
